Beer

Post by [NME]Myth » Fri Jun 03, 2005 10:48 pm

I discovered an excellent new beer while up in Alaska.

Unfortunately, I will probably never taste it again since it is only served in the Pacific Northwest. They had it on the ship and then I had one while I was waiting in Anchorage for my flight time to get closer.

If you ever get a chance, try some of their brew!

I go through a lot of Saranac... it's commonly available in the local supermarkets and pretty cheap too. They sell a 'Trail Mix' 6-pack that's 4 different kinds: Amber, Black & Tan, Pilsner and IPA. You want a smooth stout, take out a loan and track down some Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout... yum. :ohyeah:

I've been drinking it since they started bringing it into MD. It's the best American beer I've had.

When I was in college, I gave yuengling to Canadians. They said "Damn, this is good beer," especially when it's an american beer. :P Them canucks always drink canadian beer like Labatt Blue and Moloson, so yuengling quite made a good impression. They asked me if I can buy few more 24 packs of yuengling from PA. It's much cheaper in PA than NY. 36 bucks for 24 pack in NY. :x

Too bad, yuengling isn't being sold in many states. I suppose that's the reason why yuengling tastes so better if you drink too many of bud(weiser/light) beers.
