Nah, I don't follow college - just the NFL. At least they're honest about being money-grubbing spoiled little kids... :P

WOOHOO! The season starts tonight!!! All CFB fans UNITE!!

I'm pretty sure Dictator is a PSU fan. That would make 4 of us!

My dad's a Buckeye so I'm sure I'll see some of that game on Saturday too. He's not a sports fan, but he sure loves his Buckeye's no matter the sport. Being in VA they are not broadcast here too much so gotta take advantage.

GO OSU!
GO BYU!
GO PSU!
Most importantly:

GO VT!!!
LET'S GO HOKIES!!!

Well I don't know too much about CSU, but I read that UVA only has about 72 scholarship players this year. NO DEPTH. They may pull ahead early, but they will tire big time is my bet. They are also starting some true freshman on their interior lines. Not gonna be pretty. CSU opens it up late and takes the W.

Btw, just cause I'm a Hokie fan doesn't mean I have a big dislikening of UVA. Sure it won't hurt me if they lose, but I'll be pulling for the VA team.

I used to live in VA, so I'll root for any VA team, too!

Now that Missy added NC teams, I will not type all the teams we are rooting for. I type too slow. LOL

Let the games begin!!!

I love you. j/k

Don't see too many female football fans though!!!!

Did you guys/gal see the game last night? Pretty entertaining I must say, but HOLY MOTHER OF ALL THAT IS GOOD they need to learn to tackle. VT should have a field day with UVA if they don't learn by 11/30 (woohoo, I'll be there!).

BYU is gonna play the Syracuse Orangemen and the GaTech Yellow Jackets. Hmm... wish they'd also play the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Duke Blue Devils or perhaps the Minnesota Golden Gophers!!!

Go Cougars!

Post by Drewbacca » Sat Aug 31, 2002 10:35 am

Read this Baby! Woohoo!

BYU Can't be Contained

PROVO, Utah (AP) -- Bret Engemann and Marcus Whalen both redshirted the 2001 season when Brigham Young led the nation in total offense. They must have learned by watching because the Cougars didn't miss a beat as Engemann and Whalen helped roll up 615 total yards as BYU beat Syracuse 42-21 Thursday night.

"I knew we would come out and score a lot of points on these guys. They were confused all night,'' said Whalen, who ran for 140 yards and a touchdown.

Engemann passed for 386 yards and three touchdowns as BYU kept the Syracuse defense guessing.

"Bret gained confidence on the first drive and then showed a lot of poise,'' BYU coach Gary Crowton said.

The Cougars ran off 21 consecutive points in the final 17:43 to pull away from the Orangemen, who lost a season opener in an opponent's stadium for the first time since 1985.

"They kept us off balance. We thought we were prepared but their speed was better than we anticipated,'' Syracuse linebacker Jameel Dumas said.

Yeah I was watching some of that game. Let's hope that the Hokies can do the same. They owe the Orangemen from last year. :x Unfortunately it's at their house, and it's tough for teams to get a W there.

It was the only game I went to last year. :( Hopefully I have a better track record this year with the Marshall and UVA games.

Tune in Sunday to see LSU @ VT. Should be 1 hell of a game! You'll see no predictions from me on it. It's on nationally on ABC at 2:30.

Well, the VT game will start in about 15 mins. Good luck to the Hokies. I look forward to the Marshall/VT game. That should definitely be a got to see game.

Tell ya the truth, I didn't know Kent St. had a football team! What's their mascot? I look forward to the last game of the season vs. Michigan. Go Buckeyes!

Enjoy your holiday weekend!

That's cool, Myth. Happy for the Hokies. I actually only watched when LSU scored to about the last 3 mins or so, but it was exciting with LSU trying to score, but failed try after try.
