That's kind of funny. My dad just bought the DVD set for the first season and I just watched an episode with him the other day. I knew I watched it as a kid, but don't remember too much about it. After watching this show, I'm pretty surprised at the stuff they got away with back then.

They did get away with quite a bit back then but you would have to force me at gun point to watch every single episode. Now maybe if they were talking Hogan's Heroes, or Lost in Space then I would think about taking up a job like that for 100 Grand.

yahoo has bumped their mail accounts to 1 gig to compete with google's g-mail. seems kinda pointless. i have 6 years of clan mail, attachments and all, and it only take up 150 meg. at this rate it will take 40 years to reach 1 gig.

only thing massive enuf to fill it is boat's pr0n collection

A former co-worker of mine played Everquest all the time and showed me ebay auctions with crap like that being sold for a crapload of money.

Sony banned this though so you can't find Everquest stuff on ebay anymore. The people that play these games are insane. I saw an article a year or two ago about a guy who starved to death because he wouldn't leave his computer.

docsis specs say that cable can go up to 30mb. it's the cable companies that throttle it back. i can understand considering that you'd need a pretty big pipe to supply 30mb to all your customers.

now if they can just get fiber-to-home at 100mb it'd be like one big lan party. 8)

yeah, but cable is a bus(?) system where everyone essentially shares the bandwidth...plus upstream is alot slower... my understanding of the fiber-to-home is its 10Mb both ways :ohyeah: :P

weet! 8) bus doesn't effect me for now. i live out of town. you saw my bandwidth post. i'm getting 3700+ out of 4mb/s and that was during peak hours. i think most cities have fixed that issue anyhoo. last time the adelphia tech came over i asked him how big the grid was in my area. he said they don't do that anymore and that my next door neighbors can be running off a completely different segment that i'm on.
