Yea, I have the trainer balls on the Trex. But I bought the little Lama 2 and this thing is a blast in the house. Im learning how to fly nose in with it.

Kinda neet you can hold it it your hand and fly out then come back and reach up and grab it. :D

Man has it been that long since the last post. :o Im getten old fast!

Well I am still trying to learn these helis so thought I would show you the latest one Im building.
Where as with the ones I have been flying were made of 90% plastic.
This one is 90% aluminum. :D

colors ar off due to the image being compressed. they are fine when you expand to original size.

looks like someone got a new erector set. :lol:

That main gear is nylon? Is that to reduce weight? Seems like a nylon gear there is going to be subject to a great deal of wear. The motor on that thing must run at some serious RPMs.

I was thinking the same in regards to the gear. Only thing I could think is that small aluminum teeth may bend/wear too easily - shorter than the lif span of a nylon gear anyhow???

Ah I started to ask if you could look at the same pic on another forum I posted thats the same bbs software as here but it looks fine in the thumbnail but you have to be registered to see it. Darn it.

Anyway the main shaft turns about 2500 rpms. But all of these helis run these gears with no problems. Metal would be so NOISY. and would actually wear faster without some kinda lube. :D
