Has anyone found any info about moding HL2..? Is there a new editor? Should I switch to Hammer 3.5?

u have to wait for them to release the game and/od the sdk (software development kit) in order to get the editting software. and it will more than likely be a whole separate mapping editor, since its a whole new game engine. as far as using hammer 3.5, u can go ahead and do that if u want...for just hl1 maps though...the 3.5 isnt an official release i dont thing.

here are a couple links i found to some texture-able pics... <got that> ;)

you would have to change a few attributes to make them into wads or actual HL textures.. but most are already seamless images.... :D

Texture Data Base

Texture of the week Archive

this second has a nice feture of telling you if the image is already seemless or not.. ther is also a link for each image to see it in action... there aren't as many textures though as the first link... ;)

happy hunting...... :P

i have found a bunch more links to various mapping forums and texture tutorials.. i will post them soon <...
