name says it all...

has anyone tried centos? does it have any features that make it stand out from the rest?

i think i tried a variation of it once, but was having hardware issues (was using older and/or odd hardware), so i never really got a 100% system going.

from what i gather, its essentially the "free" version of redhat enterprise linux (RHEL)...same way that fedora is the "free" version of redhat's desktop offering. the main thing i think is that the software packages arent bundled together, or at least the more commerical-centric ones.
