8 Mile

I don't get the impression that many of you like rap, but I would recommend this movie to those of you that do.

There's not as much rap in it as I would have liked, but the movie itself is good. The ending was great, although predictable. The "Battle Raps" were great, which is why I wish there was more of it.

As for the soundtrack, you should probably just download the Eminem songs on it, cause the rest isn't all that.

:fist: <- well that's the only finger that goes up with these emoticons

There isn't much rap that I like. Eminem is one the few rappers who I like though. I'll probably just wait till this movie comes out on video.

Rap? Is that the incessant 'thud thud thud" I hear when I pass a bromobile on the road that makes my windows rattle and causes parts to drop off my car like it's being shaken apart? That noise with the occasional intelligable speeches about how someone's gonna **** his ***** in the ***, after he shoots a cop or twelve?

Never heard of it... :fist:

I dig rap music. Ever since the days of breakdancing and the old school rappers, it just gets better. Evolution.

Some of them are just plain funky or even funny. Sir Mix-A-Lot, Skee-Lo and Will Smith have some funny stuff.

I just don't like the gangsta, crude and/or nasty stuff. Oh, yeah, the enunciating of words helps, too.

I think the loud bass thumping and blaring lyrics are what turn people off.

Rapping is tough to do, ya know. So gotta give some props to the peeps who do it.

Yeeeaah boooyyyeeeeee!!!!

Eminem got an Oscar, by jove, with two of his buddies. Interesting, eh? Definitely not a typical winning song. His song "Lose Yourself" beat out U2, Paul Simon, and two great songs from Chicago and Frida. Totally awesome. Some think Eminem didn't show up for the Oscars because he didn't think he would win. Maybe, maybe not, but that's quite an accomplishment! :D
