I just played the 360 demo. I think it will be a solid game judging by the small amount I've seen. Graphics are top notch and the special powers kick ass. I think I'll have to pick this one up.

I've got this one ordered, just waiting for it to arrive. I loved System Shock 2, and this one looks really awesome.

I just played the first level. It's got fantastic graphics and bashing peeps with a wrench is satisfying.

Be sure to d/l the newest nvidia/ati vid drivers. both were released today and both have fixes for bioshock. Dunno about the ati, but the nvidia are the beta drivers.

i couldn't find a key to use for snapshots anywhere in the game. too bad too - looks awesome.

nope, i didn't try the current whql drivers first. had read lots of stuff in the bioshock web site and even though it's the enquirer  here

PC DEMO COMING TO YOU ON MONDAY
August 19, 2007

The wait is nearly over. At 7 PM EST the BioShock PC demo will go live for you to enjoy. We will have exclusive pre-loading at Fileplanet. Set your watches for 7 o'clock!

IMPORTANT: Please be sure to download the latest drivers from ATI and Nvidia that will be available Monday for best performance with your video cards.

since it's release yesterday, i've been seeing lots of reports of game crashes to desktop (especially ati cards) where the beta drivers fixed the problem and increased fps.

i've got all vid settings on high except some lighting feature that didn't seem to make much of a visual differnce, and it runs smooth as butter on my 7800gtx.

i'm wondering if this is a console port. the graphics are great, but i noticed there are no AA/AF settings. the new nvidia beta drivers has bioshock listed in it's control panel so maybe effects take place from there.

** edit ** just found dx update too dated aug, 2007.

Some peeps, especially the ones with the cd retail version, are experiencing problems with the drm, securom. Just google "bioshock securom" to see all the debate. The steam version and even the demo are supposed to use the same drm although i have experienced no problems via the steam version. When it comes time to uninstall the game i'll definitely make sure the securom is gone. I don't know if they will make an uninstaller for securom like they did for starforce, but i've heard this works.

At least the game works fine for me, unlike SplinterCell: Chaos Theory which used starforce and prevented me from burning any cd's/dvd's. ...and if you think this is the only game to use drm, just read the small print on most pc games coming to market.

Picked it up yesterday for the 360. Good fun to electrocute people in the water.

It sure is nice to play it in HD on a 50" screen with no system problems. :nyanya:

Like I said, I have no problems... and the PC version is less $$$ than the 360 version. :P

Well I'm sure I would've had problems if I got the PC version. :)

You didn't respond to the 50" HD part though. :P That's the extra $10 and it is worth it! :D
