Got a tip you think would benefit someone? maybe you know a good strategy for a particular map?

Here is a site I got off of quernteion (whatever)'s forum. It has some demos and tells what some of the jumps take on a few of the maps. I've already given up on the icups. Jeez.

Well I inserted the site using the URL button, but it isn't showing so here is the link

Well it's been a year to the day since this was posted!

Those people must be using concs before they were weakened eh boat?

I think I will play on the Marina some tonight in celebration. :D

btw, I never have been able to do the base to base on 2fort. Come close, but no cigar. doh. And come to think of it, there's a lot more concing on EC1 ever since this thread started. :o

Too bad you guys didn't get to know [NME]Ding Chavez. He was our foremost ULTRA concer. He was concing in TFC before most people even knew it was possible (shortly after TFC came out and NME was new). He made concing look like a walk in the park and base to base in 2fort was a breeze for him. I'm sure he could have shown you all some good tips/tricks.

In rock he would conc as soon as he hit the yard entrance onto the far catwalk. The spot lights barely had time to come on and the enemy would never even know what happend.

Oh well, Ding will be missed. :(

Anyone still have this demo? The link leads to nothing...and I'd like to check that out.

Here's a site with a crap load of TFC avi's.

http://www.planetfortress.com/hlmp/hlmp ... &BY=rating

A lot of them are good and will make you think you suck. Skillout is the video that pretty much started all of these videos so I'd recommend that one.

I've never checked any other game videos they have, but at the top of the list of videos are links for videos of different games.

All I can say after watching that....is that the music sux.

Seriously though, that was some trippy concing! Ahma gonna try some of that stuff! I'm guessing the player was a scout, meds don't normally go that far(in my experience).

While you're at it, check out the Half Dead video. It's on the site Myth listed in the TFC section. It's probably my favorite TFC video, has great music too.

i thought the skillout music fit pretty well overall with the video.

other notables to check out:

"Beyond" - the soldier version of skillout :D

"Make Me [BAD]" - good action..if remember right, mostly soldierin :D

"TF Done Extreme" - A really good action video of TFC's roots :D

"Open Your Mind" - a decent progression of tfc stuffs...like concs and bhopping  :)

;) :myflag:

I think this is a well designed vid of TF and it's capabilities. The music is quite fittting too, especially "The Road To Hell - Part II"

Funny thing is I don't think a single player in this vid isn't bhopping.

*** ADDENDUM ***

If anyone is interested, here is the Road To Hell (Part II) by Chris Rea... sorta sounds like Dire Straights.

Hey, I was just re-reading this thread...and noticed that no one ever answered me about Ding Chavez....
What happened to him?

No one knows. A few months ago there was a Ding Chavez hanging out on EC1. I question him and he was not the same, original lovable, Ding we once knew. The original Ding hailed from NY.
