This has led to changes such as the hotly debated removal of grenades, which in turn led to the de facto nonexistence of the infamous concussion grenade jump trick ("conc jumping").

:o

Not like I could conc jump anyway, so I guess that works out for me. :D

i think to sort of compensate, the scout can do some kind of double-jump thing to dart around and change direction quickly...maybe even climb/jump up to short heights (?)

So with TF2 coming out soon, will we have an NME server set up for it? Or is everyone gonna be pubbing? No idea if this was talked about in Clan mail, I stopped getting the clan mail awhile ago. Either way, I'm looking forward to trying out TF2 as well as Fortress Forever. I miss the days of TFC where the server was easily full every night.

The game running slow for anyone else? I'm running at recommended settings other than i increased the res from 1024x768 to 1028x1024 and lowered my aa from 4x to 2x and my af from 8x to 4x. i even tried disabling both. The game isn't lagging, just seems all classes other than scout are extremely slow. Other people in my same class pass me & out run me. Is there a run/sprint key or something? I know this is a beta, but hopefully it isn't meant to be played that way.

Also, anyone finding rj's difficult? I'm not getting anywhere near the height shown in the trailers.
