The EP2 video 3 is now out: ...and youtubed.

The third of five new gameplay movies from Half-Life® 2: Episode Two is now available. This cut of gameplay footage features vehicle-based fighting and some of the more open style of combat featured in EpTwo. Targeted for release in Q1 2007 on the PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, Half-Life 2: Episode Two will also include Team Fortress 2 and Portal.

Here we go again  !

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/ar ... ?id=148950

Valve's Doug Lombardi told CVG today that Half-Life 2: [glow=red]Episode Two's release has slipped from Q1 2007 back to summer 2007. [/glow]Lombardi told us that the super developer is "now targeting summer 2007" for a release. This obviously affects Team Fortress 2 and Portal, which all form part of mouth-watering Episode Two package.

I hate   Valve!

Some new information about the game:

TF2 Interview
TF2 Hands-On Preview

Personally disappointed with some of these changes. Control Point maps were my least favorite in TFC, so I don't really like them focusing on those types of maps for TF2. 2Fort is the only CTF map they left in, even well isn't CTF anymore. Removal of grenades sucks a bit too. I always felt normal grenades were a bit too powerful, but I would've preferred they just toned them down a bit. Plus I loved the special grenades like EMPs (:() and whatnot. Guess we'll just have to see how this game ends up turning out.

6 years!? :o

So I was reading that later this year we will be able to play against X-Box players.
I have always loved 1st person shooters but for the life of me I cant use a console controller.
Maybe this will re-spark my online gaming.

it took 6 years between hl1 and hl2. all the episodes are supposed to equal a full fledged game.

i prefer keyboards/mouse myself. f= flashlight is much easier to remember than "rectangle + triangle + triangle + circle".

Game spy has a artical out on TF2, with some pictures.

http://pc.gamespy.com/pc/team-fortress-2/782564p1.html

Here are some intresting notes from the gamespy.
[glow=red]Scout[/glow]-For TF2, the Scout's default weapon has been changed from the nailgun of TFC to a new "scatter gun," which acts like more of a shotgun

According to Valve, the new weapon makes it possible for a scout to go head-to-head with heavier classes, and the Scout's new double-jump ability could create serious havok once players get the hang of it.

[glow=red]Spawn times[/glow]-After respawning (respawn times for our playtests were generally between 10 and 20 seconds) -

[glow=red]Soliders[/glow]-the Soldier class was having rocket-jumping around. Advanced physics are a big part of Team Fortress 2, and veterans should expect that they'll be able to do rocket jumps, grenade jumps, and several other crazy maneuvers.

It's the perfect introductory class ?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Geesh!

[glow=red]Could be intresting[/glow]-One fun touch Valve has added to Team Fortress 2 is the end-of-round victory celebration. When the match ends, all of the players on the losing team lose their weapons, and the winning team can basically beat them up for 15 seconds. What ends up happening is the winning team all equips melee weapons and chases the losers around for a few seconds of manic ownage.

LOL. :D I like this medic ability.
"Onscreen, it looks like the characters are covered with a silver or gold mirrored texture, which is usually a cue for the entire enemy team to go scrambling for cover."
