nice pics from this weekends play testing. wish they'd give an e.t.a. on this. considering they've been working (at least in a non official way) with valve, i wouldn't be surprised if this is going to be released around the time tf2/episode 2 is released.

In the Dev. journals they mention a possible release date in December 2006.

Q: Okay, no really. Enough BS. When the hell is FF coming out?
A: We really are shooting for a December 2006 release. It's an agressive goal, I'll freely admit, but we're going to haul ass and do the best we can to meet that goal.

Is it possible that one day we will come back together on a playing field and beat each other with a crowbar once again upon the release of FF. I sure hope so because I have a void in my heart to beat all the [NME] guys again. MUHHAAAAA.

Awesome video! The spy looks to be fun. I guess they couldn't fit feigning in, so they gave him a cloaking abillity. Also, when the spy stabbed the engy in the back he didnt loose his disguise and the SG's didn't fire at him. It kinda suxs that there is no feign death anymore i kinda enjoyed standing on top of spies and beating them with crowbars!

I look foward to the release of this game.

but when he shot the gun it uncloaked him. looked like a corpse fienged when he cloaked as well, so the spy wont outright disappear in thin air.

I found some info on cloaking.

Cloaking
there's a silent cloak or a cloak. One requires you to stand still to do right now, presumably this is something you'd do in silence out of sight, the regular cloak 'fakes' a death and can be done on the move...The death sound in there isn't as obnoxious anymore as the one that plays in the vid at least. As you move faster you become more visible, slow down and you become less visible. You're restricted to a walking speed pretty much.

For taking a dudes disguise that only happens if you kill them w/ a perfect backstab.

and one of the reasons we're so tenative to show a vid and such is we are waiting for new animations to be dropped in, which should correct a bunch of the posture and movement oddities (feet not moving fast enough etc) with the models.

If i read it right. The reason why the SG's didnt fire at the spy is because if you kill a member of the other team with one swip of your knife you take the diguse of that player you killed.

Also Spies have the abillity to sabatoge SG's .

Yeah, after the sabatoge, you have to activate a command (it's a bind right now, but it will be put into the vgui menu at some point) to get the SGs to attack. After you activate the command, the sentries will attack their own team for 10 seconds, then revert back to normal (unsabotaged) operation. If I remember correctly, the sabotage also is removed if the Spy that did it is killed.

another post mentioned that the sniper "tagging" allows all teammembers to see the tagged enemy. mention of making it like 40 seconds, and you can tag multiple enemies, but the timelimit applies across the board, so if you 'tag' 4 enemies, then theyll stay lit up for 10 seconds each.

I found it rather amusing when the scout died from being infected.

Dies, then goes into a death sli____________________de. also, even though the medic healed himself, it seems he was getting infected by the others players on the opposite team.
