yeah...i was trying to stay in denial about that one...  :P

courtesy slashdot...:

"Halflife2.net was able to get an exclusive interview with Chuck Osborn from PCGamer. In the interview he found out that Counter-Strike: Source is indeed the only Multiplayer for Half-Life 2." This comes on the heels of the news that PC Gamer will feature a special HL2 Review in its upcoming issue. Full Steam and Retail packaging details about the game are also available from many sources today as well.

but ive heard so many rumors about hte multiplayer, that i dunno what to beleeb anymo  :P

just so no confusion to readers... TF2 is a separate entity from HL2 unlike the HL/TFC we all know and lub. ;)

would have been kick arse to chase after someone in a car while trying to mow them down in your helicopter or alien assault vehicle... the bastages!!!

HL2 steam packages are now on sale.... with a disclaimer as to release date of course.

ATI/HL2 bundles are good for the Bronze release.

I was sceptic at first but I went through with it.. I used my HL2_offer that came with my card.. I guess I could have waited but if I would have sent it in there really is no sure way of knowing I would get the CD or not.. besides it was free with my card, i dont know if i would buy it out right through steam... prob, not

Cs:Source looks great, but the physics suxors ;imo I put some shots in sceenies

You have to send the original certificate with the original receipt from your purchase (I do still have it) with a 4"x6" self addressed stamp envelope to........ If it gets lost, they are not responsible, if the key code is not visible on the certificate, they're not responsible, if you sneezed on the receipt before you sent it, they're not responsible... And after all that they don't even send you a conformation they recieved it all.. You just wait and see.. :-? :-?
Actually, you could send it certified mail...that would give you a legal reciept. Yeah, they could swear up and down they mailed it back....but at least you'd know they got it.

*Edit* Pre-Loading did nothing but take up space.. But the Key did give me access to all but one of the games . 8)

Anyway....yeah...that's what it does...take up space. At least until the release is done...then it actually does something.

Is there any way to play hl2 without having to login to steam? Their servers appear to be overwhelmed. I can't login and their website is crawling. I can't even get the status page up but I know when I checked earlier today they were near maximum capacity bandwidth wise.

...wait, yay! finally made it in. only took like 20 minutes to login, sheesh!
