Tim e Zone?

Post by Dictator » Tue Jun 25, 2002 2:51 pm

boat,

I noticed that the time zone on this board is one hour behind EST and I checked my profile and the setting is at EST. Why is the time one hour back and it is EST? So, I chose Atlantic zone (Even thought, I live in Eastern zone) to recorrect the time. Does this happen to anybody else?
:-?

 ummmmm, no - LoL. it's something with the phpBB coding...i'll check their support to see if it's resolved at all. it has to do with daylight savings time, unix/php timestamps, etc, so it'll probably stay on UTC (ie, no daylight savings adjustments) unless someone makes some sort of mod or addition in phpbb to compensate

Well, I discovered some rather interesting information.

I went to php group forum and ran search on time zone.

This said time zone follows daylight saving time.
http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.ph ... light=zone

A developer said that time zone isn't a problem.

http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=15737

Here's a mod you can check out.

Hope it helps ya. Just trying to help out. 8)

Howdy Paradroid,

Did you make that graphic? It's really cool. By the way, what does PARA stand for?

See you later on EC I.

Yep, made that one myself.... Well actually it's the NASA Logo obviously, but i changed the N into a P and the S into an R. Yeah, i like doing that sorta stuff. Plus the NASA logo is a really neat logo i think. I was thinking about using it as my spray in TFC too, but i don't know how to make those mulit coloured ones. Do you know how ?

Paradroid was my favourite game on the C64. I'm not sure what para stands for in that name (i guess just instead of "Paranoid"), but normally "Para" is old latin for "to stop". As in words like "Parachute" (to stop the fall), or "Parasol" (to stop the sun). So i guess Paradroid litteraly means "to stop the droid". But for me it's just a memento of the good old game....

Man, it's so dark around 5:30-6:00 p.m. now. I miss the summer. Sigh... I look forward to spring!
