OK, i'm confused.... I downloaded that skillout and it was music only. Not even TFC sounds. It sounded like Susie and the Banshees or something. WTF is up with that?

Mine are all on cassette. My bro's are about 50/50 casette and DAT. I think he'll be giving up on DAT and converting to CD soon. DAT is very high quality, but the heads on a DAT player only seem to hold out for 18-24 months no matter how well yo take care of them. Cost of new heads is ~ $400. Cost o...

I lost a lot of my bootleg tapes over the years by various causes. It deeply disappoints me too. Anyhow, I got my little brother hooked on the Dead back in '92. The funny thing is that was his very first concert and definitely not what he expected. Now the little rat has more tapes than I do and mos...

I would have got an SUV instead of my Outback except that the roof is too high for me to toss a deer on top of it by myself.
It is also easier to get young kids & child seats into.

I must say Pit... that beat my old '88 Civic DX by a long shot. I bought it used back in '92. When it hit about 80,000 miles it threw it's timing belt and bent a few valves. After the repair work it was never quite the same again.

OK, call me a weenie, but I love my 2000 Subaru Outback. This car has a nice smooth ride. Not what I expected from a AWD vehicle. This baby has heated seats, heated side mirrors, front wiper defrosters, power seats & windows, and lots more extras.

I even got to take her off road this deer sea...

OK, stop laughing! I just bought this for my son. He's five years old now. This is actually a very good game. The graphics are superb and navigation is very easy for kids. Some of the challenges are actually pretty tough and I was surprised my son could actually figure some of them out (must of got ...

You know, I think I got this with my sound card a while back too. I lost track of it until I just read this. I don't think I've ever even installed it. I usually only try to have one game going on at once, but since I have so little time, it can take me months to finish a game. I think it took me al...

Awesome! After looking at my new mobo it appears my board is keyed around a 100MHz cycle. My 2G processor shows up as 20x100 in my BIOS. Odd considering the board's specs rate it at 400Mhz FSB but there may be a 4x100 timimg thing going on there.

Anyhow, MORE POWER ARGH ARGH ARGH!

PCI 2.2 compliant mobo's & BIOS's run at 66MHz I do believe and they are backward compatable with 33 MHz. Besides, most mobo's these days allow you to change the timing of the FSB. I think most boards default to 1:3 giving 33MHz, 3:5 should give 66MHz. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes they are all in Florida. I'm not sure how close it is to Naples, but luckily Florida is a narrow state. North/South is a totally different story
I have a good friend that lives in Orlando. if I ever get my affairs/money in order I'll be down to see all of you. I still owe Shaitan a visit.

I think he means the "Sim" line of software. It all started with SimCity. Now of course you have SimTycoon, SimCoaster, and others.

Like you Papa, I'm into real Sims... submarines (especially WWII), and helicopters, specifically the Apache. I might as well blow stuff up while I'm learning to fly.

You need a strong processor/vid card to handle the graphics, especially in wide open areas. The game is tough and it takes a bit of thinking and a lot of stealth. The first one "The dark project" is awesome. There are some really strange twists in the plot. Hint: when there are a lot of guards aroun...

Yes, two of my favorite games are "Thief: The Dark Project" and "Thief II: The Metal Age". This is unlike most FPS games in that massive carnage is not the goal. As a thief in mideaval (sp?) times (sort of) your goal is stealth. Leave no clues behind. The plot develops as each mission is accomplishe...
